High Fever

I woke up this morning with body aches, a giddy head and a very bad sore throat. I was contemplating to rest at home, but decided not to as I had lots of work to clear before my new arrangment comes into effect 2 weeks later. It was a mistake. By the time I reached office, the aches got worse and I had to make my way home. Thank God I managed to get home safely cos I was feeling really giddy.

Had a nap for 2 hours, and woke up feeling the chills. Took my temperature. Gosh, 38.8C! Took 2 panadols and went back to sleep for another 3 hours. Thankfully the fever and body aches were gone when I woke up. The fact I writing this means I am okay now, but still feeling a bit weak. Let’s hope I will be as good as new tomorrow. I really have lots of work to finish. 😦

A Fun-Filled Weekend

It was a good weekend. On Saturday, we went for the blogging mummies gathering at Globetrotters. This is my first time at the gathering and it was good to finally meet all the mummies whose blogs I have been reading for a long time. A pity I did not manage to talk to all the mummies. You can read more about the gathering here, here, here and here.

After the gathering, we went for kite flying with Jean and family at Marina South. Sarah was still napping when we reached there so Daddy and Mummy had a little fun first flying the kites. We spotted some dark clouds gathering, so Daddy woke Sarah so that she can have some fun before it starts to pour. Sarah and Grace had lots of fun running after Daddy and the kite. We had about 10 mins of fun before it rained. It was fun, the only spoiler was a group of uncles whose sole purpose was to cut off other people’s kites. Ours was cut off twice. Poor Simon even had to climb onto the roof to retrieve his. As it was too early for our steamboat dinner, we had some drinks and a good time chatting with the other YAF members. It was good to know some friends from church.

On Sunday, I brought Sarah to sunday school for the first time. Thank God she was fine and seemed to enjoy it, though she needed me to be there with her. Let’s hope after a few more weeks, she is able to go solo.

It has been a long time since we had such a great weekend. Thanks to Jean for organising the gathering and inviting us to the kite flying.
